Lee "Well" After Surgery

So, according to People magazine—and a myriad of other sources—Sandra Lee is doing fine after a double mastectomy procedure yesterday afternoon.Last week, the surgery was postponed after Lee developed an upper respiratory infection.

In a statement issued to the press, Andrew Cuomo said:

"Around 8 a.m. this morning, Sandy underwent surgery that concluded just before 1 p.m. I am happy to report that she is doing as well as could be expected and has begun the post-surgery recovery process. On behalf of Sandy and myself, I want to thank everyone for their kind thoughts and prayers over the last few days. Your support has meant the world to us."

Lee was doing so well, in fact, that she posed for a selfie with Cuomo right after she woke up from surgery:

Lee has also been updating her Facebook page regularly regarding the procedure.  She is expected to make a full recovery.
Maybe it's just me, but:  Am I the only one who finds the selfie tacky?  I realize she's in the spotlight and trying to bring awareness to the subject, but if I were in her position, that's where I would draw the line.

It is because you are not an attention whore and your boy toy is not thinking about running for President. "No publicity is bad publicity" isn't just a motto in politics, it's a way of life and it is shameful how so many people sell their souls for fame and elected office.

There are other ways of bringing attention to a cause. Selfies? Its because no one else wants to take your picture!
